Why partner with Covenant Prep?
Covenant Preparatory School is a classical, Christian school offering Prek-8th grade in the Sandhills of North Carolina.
Primarily, however, we serve the families of the most elite military in the world. The majority of our student body are military families, while over 50% of those families serve in special forces operations.
We serve the men and woman who protect our freedom. We educate and train the children of those fathers and mothers who are willing to sacrifice their lives for this great country.
What makes Covenant Prep unique?
Recognizing our unique footprint in the Sandhills, and our strong connection to Ft. Bragg, Covenant Prep’s faculty and staff seek to train the next generation not what to think, but how to think. Meaning, we do not want our students to know about George Washington, but to be educated like George Washington: trained in truth, virtue and wisdom.
Our desire is to equip this countries’ future leaders with the power of mind and pen; so that when necessary, they
may stand against tyranny and corruption.
The classical education model begins with the pedagogical tool known as “mimesis.” This is a “boot camp” of sorts, for the mind. Students at the grammar stage (K-5) go through the same drills again and again; the same inspections over and over, until they become second nature.
Our kindergarteners are a year ahead in math, and on average our Kindergarteners are reading on a 3rd – 6th grade level when they enter 1st grade.
In 3rd grade our students begin a rigorous Latin curriculum. (A language in which our founding father’s were fluent.) They also begin taking choir and strings and participate in a number of performances throughout the year. Our strings program teaches the responsibility of the individual to play his or her part in order to form a stronger whole.
How can you support our mission at Covenant Prep?
Covenant Preparatory Classical School is seeking sponsors and donations for school growth. Specifically, we are raising money for our campus expansion! Working with the City of Southern Pines and the Longitude Planning Group, we are planning to build a new campus in three phases. For the initial phase we are seeking to raise 1.7 million dollars. We appreciate your time and consideration.
