Equipping Students to Live Faithfully
Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Key School of Logic Outcomes
Through intentional study and parental engagement, we aim for School of Logic students to exhibit the following characteristics.
Deep Curiosity
We want our students to be curious and to ask questions because that is the key to learning. Instead of focusing on just acquiring facts and data, we highlight the complexity and wonder of God’s created order
Clear Communication
Training in biblical thinking helps students see the world in an accurate way, and they also need the ability to communicate clearly through speaking and writing.
Biblical Thinking
We consistently emphasize biblical thinking in all our programs, and it is especially important during the Grammar School stage as students begin transitioning to more independent study.
Core Subjects
Reading
In the School of Logic, students read not just to gain knowledge and learn facts but to interpret what they read according to biblical truth. Students engage in ethical discussion of stories, which develops critical thinking and character formation.
Writing
Writing study in the School of Logic emphasizes communicating coherently and meaningfully. Students learn to formulate thoughts and ideas and articulate them clearly in writing. As in the Grammar School, students in the Logic continue their handwriting practice.
Mathematics
Students progress from the fundamentals of Grammar School mathematics to more in-depth study of higher-level mathematics topics such as functions and equations, which help students to think systematically and logically.
Science
Students in the School of Logic are encouraged to be curious about why the world works the way that it does. Whereas the Grammar School focuses on facts (the what), the School of Logic focuses on making connections (the why).
